UnOther Terms & Conditions
1. Object of these terms and their validity
Belongg Community Ventures Private Limited, a company incorporated in India (hereinafter referred to as “Belongg”) operates a mobile platform called UnOther (hereinafter referred to as “UnOther”) that brings short-format content focused on diversity and inclusion to users across the world. The UnOther team as well external collaborators conduct discussions with authors, writers, researchers and translate these interviews into written pieces as well as write original long-form reviews of carefully curated books focused on topics of diversity and inclusion. Users on the UnOther app, through our content, get access to high-quality insights on diversity and inclusion and topics such as gender, feminism, LGBTQIA issues, disability, caste, race, and other topics around prejudice, discrimination and bias.
Users can use UnOther subject to our Terms & Conditions, given below, valid at their time of use. No other separate agreement is provided for the use of UnOther by users. Users accept the validity of these terms while registering with UnOther for a free or a paid subscription as the case may be.
2. Services and Rights of Belongg
The extent to which and the nature of use of the platform by Users depends on the subscription selected: there are differences between the free account as well as the paid subscription accounts, of different levels. of the platform This option to use the platform (the “License”) is limited to the duration of the paid subscription where six-monthly and annual subscriptions are both possible.
- All rights to content and services provided on UnOther will remain with Belongg and/or licensors through whom Belongg might have licensed this content. Usage rights to the mobile app for UnOther, the web app for UnOther, and any content are licensed to users only in the scope of contractual use through a non-exclusive, time bound personal use license.
- All trademarks including as well as logos, domain names, unique features of the UnOther trademark are the sole property of UnOther. Users are not given the right to use any of these trademarks. We also reserve the right to show users promotion content on the platform as might be the case.
3. Registering on Unother by Users
Users are required to register with UnOther in order to read content on the platform and to use its services. We reserve the right to make this use contingent on proper proof of identity. The registration is free of charge with no obligations to subscribe to a paid plan.
4. Paid subscriptions and trial accounts on Unother
To be able to access the full set of services and content from UnOther, users need to buy one of the several paid subscription options that exist on the platform. These are for different amounts, with variable time periods, different levels of benefits. Users will have access to paid content as long as their subscription is active. Users submit a legally binding offer when they purchase a paid subscription by clicking the order button for a paid subscription. This contract gets concluded when UnOther sends an order confirmation within a reasonable timeframe over email and the subscription begins on this date. Occasionally, offers are sent to users to participate in free subscriptions for testing purposes that are time bound. Belongg determines users for participation in these trial phases completely at our discretion and reserves the right to end these trials without reason or prior notification.
5. Payments on UnOther for subscriptions and content
Subscription access is subject to a fee that must be paid at the beginning of the subscription. We offer a range of payment methods through our payment gateway partner including credit cards, wallets, debit cards. Subscriptions can also be purchased through the in-app purchase processes by Apple, Google mobile app stores.
Subscriptions automatically get renewed by charging the payment method at the end of the relevant subscription period unless users cancel the paid subscription at least 24 hours before the end of the term.
6. Term of use and cancellation
The free plan starts from the time of registration and runs indefinitely. Paid subscription accounts run for the entire term of the subscription and renew automatically using the same terms (the same subscription tier) if they are not canceled at least 24 hours before the end of that period.
7. Vouchers, Special Codes, and Special Offers
Users with UnOther vouchers are allowed the use of the Unother service for the period mentioned in the voucher and the duration mentioned in the voucher. Similarly, users with Special Offer Codes are entitled to purchase discounted subscription plans by entering their special offer codes at the time of purchasing subscriptions. Vouchers and Offer Codes cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be reimbursed, exchanged or used to purchase other codes. Users are downgraded to a free account upon the expiry of the Voucher duration.
8. User Content On UnOther
Users of Unother, through features such as comments function on our web shall not post any information that they do not have any rights to; is grossly harmful, defamatory, blasphemous, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of privacy, racially or ethnically objectionable, hateful, encouraging of illegal activities, or otherwise unlawful in any matter; harms anyone in any way; infringes copyrights; violates applicable law; is deceptive; impersonates other people; contains digital threats include viruses and malware; threatens the integrity or security of India or public orders or causes incitement to cognisable offencesBelongg reserves the rights to delete any comments in these categories.
9. The use of content submitted by users
Users agree that Belongg has the right to use and content submitted by them on the UnOther platform or serve in any way we see fit and that users grant Belongg an irrevocable, royalty-free, perpetual license to: (a) Exercise all and any applicable copyright rights with respect to user submitted contributions; (b) Attribute user contributions to users publicly including in our social media, advertising, or promotions; (c) To issue sublicenses to others for objects a and b above. Users also agree that Belongg has no obligation to accept, preserve, or maintain any content submitted by them.
10. Removing Users
Belongg reserves the right to terminate the account of users, without compensation, who violate terms of services in this agreement.
11. Disclaimer on content and opinions
All information, opinions and views expressed in the content published on our mobile app is either linked closely to the expression of specific authors of books or else the articulations of guests with whom Belongg carries out interviews. The content does not represent opinions of the Belongg or Unother team and does not constitute endorsement or approval by the Belongg. Neither Belongg nor any of our staff members assume responsibility for errors or omissions in the content. We make every effort to prevent inaccurate or misleading data or perspectives on our platform this content is being provided with no guarantee at all of usefulness or accuracy to any reader.
12. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances, shall Belongg, UnOther, or any of our staff members, affiliates, partners be liable for any damage or loss, if any, arising out of or in the use of the UnOther app. Users using UnOther agree that Belongg, UnOther, or any of our staff will not be liable to you or to any third party for any damages of any kind, including but not limited to, direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, losses or expenses that arise from or are connected with this platform, the inability to use by any party, or linked to the failure of performance, errors, interruptions, omissions, delays, virus or system failure, even if UnOther or our representatives are advised of such damages, losses or expenses.
13. Adherence to Government regulations including disclosures
Belongg and UnOther might have to disclose information collected from users to comply with Government regulations. This information will only be shared, when asked and needed, by official and authorized agencies.
14. Changes to these Terms & Conditions
Belongg reserves the right to make amendments to these Terms & Conditions in the future without notice and such modifications will be effective immediately. Users agree to review these terms periodically to be aware of these modifications and their use of UnOther apps and services will be deemed their conclusive acceptance of the modified terms.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by and enforced in accordance with law in India and users agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Delhi for any dispute resolution.
